The Love Of Our Lives - 1177 Words

Everyone thinks they are in love when they are in high school. We believe we have found the love of our lives even if it just our first boyfriend or girlfriend. I am a victim to this. I fell in love my freshman year. A wild, random love that shouldn t have even started. A hallway craziness, my friend s like to call it. This love story, if you can even call it that, is how I decided that never again, will I fall in love with a pyscho. Walking with my friend, Katy, to French class seemed so innocent. We were talking, laughing, and really riled up from the assembly we just left. Our school cheerleaders always made us laugh with their cheers that only about a third of the class would help them with. He started talking to Katy, while I just listened to his bass tone voice. Mike noticed me not joining in the conversation and asked me why I never spoke up. I don’t talk much to people I don t know, I said, hoping to sound sauve but instead sounding shy. Then get to know me. Mike gave me his number and carried on his way. Katy winked at me as we entered our French class. Never in my life, had I been so happy to finish French and get home. As soon as French was over, I pulled out my cell-phone. I searched for Mike s name in my phone but didn t find it. Maybe I passed it, I thought as I slowly went down the list of contacts. I stopped, seeing a name I didn’t recognize. Laughing, I clicked on Badass and hoped it was Mike as I texted. I got a reply almost immediately and it was definitely him. We talked for a while and then I had a realization: I never told him my name. Curious, I typed Mike another message, quickly asking him what he saved me as in his phone. It s embarrassing, was his reply to me. I doubt that. Okay but don t think I m weird, okay, he questioned my promise not to laugh a couple times and a few minutes later I got the message that would change my entire view of my high school for the rest of my life: Future Girlfriend, Even after only knowing Mike for a few days, we started dating.
